The thrill of sitting across real opponents, hearing the clack of stones on the board, and feeling the energy of the community made the experience unforgettable. It wasn’t just about the games I played, but about finally being part of the living, breathing Go scene in the Philippines.

The Shodan Invitational was one of the most challenging tournaments I’ve ever joined, as I faced many of the strongest Go players from the Philippine community in Luzon. Each game tested my limits, pushed me to think deeper, and reminded me how much more I still have to learn — but it was also an inspiring experience that fueled my passion to keep improving.
